Smolenice castle, preserved

Smolenice « Trnava « Trnava region (Bratislava historic region)

The castle was rebuilt at the beginning of th 20th century on the place of the castle from the 14th century which was destroyed by fire at the beginning of the 19th century. Now, it is a property of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) and there is the Congress Centre Smolenice of the SAS.
