Brief description

A castle – exactly a tower – built-in into the fortification of the town of Bardejov. It was made by rebuilding of the main gate of the town fortification. The castle is first time mentioned in 1405 as a toll-house at the border of the former Hungary. Last tidings about the castle are from the 16th century – the former function in the town fortification was probably returned to the castle after then.
