Preserved castle from the 13th century consisting of several buildings located directly in the town. The Central Slovak Gallery and the Central Slovak Museum have exhibits here.

Description

The castle was a part of the former fortification of the city of Banská Bystrica. In the castle there is a church from the 13th century. The fortification was built in 1480-1510 and it was later rebuilt in a Baroque style. The Central Slovak Gallery and the Central Slovak Museum have exhibits here.
