Trenčín « Trenčín « Trenčín region (Trenčín historic region)

A castle, originated in the 10th century, later rebuilt and extended. It was damaged by fire in. Reconstruction started after 1945. In March 2003 a part of its western fortification (1100 tons) fell down.

Access

From the railway and the bus station Trencin:
Go through Park M. R. Štefánika and SNP square, on Mierové square turn left and via Matúšova street to the church. Then use the access road to the castle.
